HelperMate 2.3.10 is now available on Google Play and the App Store. It adds nothing new. It fixes places where the app did not fit a small phone, or a phone set to large text.
Nothing Hidden Behind the Navigation Bar
On many Android phones the navigation bar runs along the bottom of the screen. On a few of our screens the last line of a list sat half behind it, even after you scrolled to the end. You could still tap it, but you could not read it properly.
In 2.3.10 the last item now stops above the bar. This applies to:
- the Language list, where Korean was the line that disappeared
- Notifications
- Legal & about
- Help & feedback
- Task translation
- Edit profile
- Payment record
The Update Banner Gets Out of the Way
When a new version was available, the update banner floated over the bottom of the screen. On a small phone that meant it could sit on top of the sign-in button and the buttons beneath it.
On small screens the banner now takes its own strip at the bottom, and the screen above it shrinks to fit. Larger screens look the same as before.
Burmese on the Home Screen
On a narrow phone the Burmese greeting at the top of Home ended in "…", and the "next up" chip showed only the first letters of your next task. Both now use more lines, so the whole greeting and the task name can be read.
Payment Record on Narrow Phones
On the Payment record screen, the line showing the agreed amount, next to its Set limit button, could run past the edge of its card. This happened most with large text and with longer translations. The line now wraps onto a second line instead.
Update HelperMate from Google Play or the App Store to get version 2.3.10.
