Who runs this site, and how we write our guides.
HelperMate is used by two people, not one. The employer writes the day's tasks once in their own language. The helper opens her own app and reads the same list in hers — across 10 languages, including Bahasa Indonesia, Tagalog and Burmese. Nobody has to guess what was meant.
Around that shared task list it also keeps salary and expense records and reminds the employer of MOM deadlines such as Work Permit renewal and the 6-monthly medical examination.
It is a household management app — not a hiring marketplace, job board, or employment agency. And the helper's app is always free, because a tool that only one side can use isn't shared at all.
The aim is simple: a calmer, fairer household for both sides. Less repeating yourself, fewer missed deadlines, and fewer instructions lost in translation.

HelperMate is an independent service. It is not a government body, not an employment agency, and is not affiliated with the Ministry of Manpower (MOM).
Our blog exists to answer the practical questions Singapore employers actually face — costs, MOM obligations, day-to-day management, and treating a helper fairly. We hold ourselves to a few rules:
If you spot something that's out of date or wrong, please tell us at support@helpermate.app and we'll correct it.
