What HelperMate Is

HelperMate is a Singapore mobile app for households that employ a Foreign Domestic Worker (FDW). It helps an employer and helper share the same daily schedule and task list — each reading it in their own language, across 10 languages — alongside salary and expense records and reminders for MOM deadlines such as Work Permit renewal and the 6-monthly medical examination.

The aim is simple: a calmer, fairer household for both sides. Less repeating yourself, fewer missed deadlines, and fewer instructions lost in translation.

Who Operates This Site

HelperMate is an independent service. It is not a government body, not an employment agency, and is not affiliated with the Ministry of Manpower (MOM).

How We Write Our Guides

Our blog exists to answer the practical questions Singapore employers actually face — costs, MOM obligations, day-to-day management, and treating a helper fairly. We hold ourselves to a few rules:

• Regulatory information follows MOM's published guidance. Where we state a rule, a fee, or a timeline, it reflects MOM's official guidance at the time of writing.
• Every article shows its dates. Each guide displays when it was published and when it was last updated, so you can judge how current it is.
• Rules change, so we say so. Figures such as the levy, security bond, and insurance minimums are subject to change. We ask readers to confirm specifics with MOM for their own situation.
• We are not lawyers. Our guides are informational, not legal advice. For a dispute or a decision with legal consequences, seek qualified advice or contact MOM directly.
• Fairness is part of the standard. We won't publish advice that treats a helper as an adversary — including tactics that pressure, deceive, or strip someone of their rights.
